Ken Benhamo

Principal Software Engineer at Astronautics

Ken Benhamo has extensive work experience as a Senior Software Engineer. Ken began their career at GE Transportation in 2014, working as a Software Engineer in the Panel Software Team in the Locomotive Division. During this time, they supported Tier 4 locomotive pre-production software and optimized CPU usage and resources for the Auxiliary Load Controller Panel's kernel.

In 2016, Ken joined GE Healthcare as a Firmware Engineer - MR. Ken developed and implemented firmware support for a new state-of-the-art MRI table, which launched with GE's flagship product. Ken also played a key role in the redevelopment of the Magnetic Rundown Unit, a safety device, adding smart functionalities such as automatic fault detection and timed self-diagnostic tests.

Currently, Ken works as a Senior Software Engineer at Astronautics Corporation of America since 2022.

Ken Benhamo attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2010 to 2011, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011 to 2014. In April 2022, Ken obtained certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance.
