Colin Mattson

Colin Mattson is an experienced software professional with a strong background in leading software teams and developing innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as the Software Team Lead at Astroscale since November 2024, Colin directs the flight, ground, and test software teams. Prior roles include Manager of Perception: Sensors & Integration at Outrider, where responsibilities spanned multiple positions from Senior to Autonomous Vehicle Software Engineer from October 2019 to November 2024. Colin's earlier experience includes Principal Software Engineer at Tortuga AgTech, where contributions were critical in building the software organization, and Software Engineer at Keysight Technologies, contributing to major product releases in high-performance oscilloscopes. Additionally, Colin started a career as an Application Engineer at Embedded Logix, handling diverse projects in automotive and medical device sectors. Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Oakland University, earned in 2012.
