Prior to that, they were a Production Chemist/Scientist at Sirigen Group Ltd from February 2021 to June 2022, where they were involved in manufacturing High Sensitive Fluorescence™ polymers for diagnostic and research bioassays.
Before their role at Sirigen Group Ltd, Christopher worked as an Organic Chemistry Lab Associate at Sam Houston State University from January 2019 to January 2021. During this time, they researched and developed a polymer with antimicrobial properties, involving the design and synthesis of specialized monomers.
Christopher also served as a Biochemistry Research Assistant at The Texas Research Institute for Environmental Studies from September 2018 to January 2020, where their work focused on DNA extractions and PCR gene amplification for exploring phylogenetic relationships between specimens of a newly discovered aquatic insect.
Furthermore, Christopher gained medical mentorship experience through a program hosted by CHI of The Woodlands. As part of this program, they shadowed an orthopedic surgeon and learned about the day-to-day operations in July 2017.
Overall, Christopher has gained valuable experience in laboratory work, polymer manufacturing, organic chemistry, biochemistry research, and medical mentorship.
Christopher Saphos attended Sam Houston State University from 2016 to 2020. Christopher pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, focusing on the field of Biotechnology.
