Joseph Levinthal

Chief Scientific Officer at Astrotech

Joseph Levinthal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joseph is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at AgLAB Inc since July 2021. Prior to that, Joseph founded Levinthal Consulting LLC in September 2019 and also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Terpene BioSolutions during the same period.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Joseph worked as the General Manager at SōRSE Technology from September 2019 to June 2021. Joseph also held the position of Director of Research and Development at LOUDPACK from January 2018 to September 2019.

Joseph's earlier experiences include working as a Research Scientist at the University of Utah Nuclear Engineering Program from January 2014 to August 2016. Joseph also served as a Research Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory from June 2015 to May 2016, where they contributed to nuclear nonproliferation programs and conducted research on international safeguards.

In addition, Joseph worked as a Research Scientist at the Institute for Clean and Secure Energy from February 2011 to August 2013. Prior to that, they held positions as a Science Educator/Coach at The Oakley School from 2007 to 2010 and as the Dean of Students/Coach at Realms of Inquiry from 2004 to 2007.

Joseph Levinthal attended Northern Arizona University from 1998 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics. Joseph then pursued further education at the University of Utah, obtaining a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they continued their studies at the University of Utah, completing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Nuclear Engineering from 2014 to 2016.
