Astro Ventures is a social enterprise dedicated to delivering understandable & accessible, astronomy teaching and learning to the public.  We are qualified astronomers, physicists and teachers operating out of a Dark Sky Discovery Observatory at the Battlesteads Hotel in Wark, Northumberland, and we also deliver astronomy taster and stargazing sessions in accommodation providers, schools and colleges in the North of England.

At the Battlesteads Dark Sky Discovery Observatory we deliver workshops, activities, drop in sessions, stargazing and astro courses to suit anyone from the absolute beginner to the professional.

Located at an officially designated Dark Sky Discovery Site in Wark and under very dark skies, Astro Ventures offers the perfect compromise between the beautiful majesty of dark skies and the facilities offered by a 21st Century Countryside Village location:
