Kaushik Shakkari

Kaushik Shakkari is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in AI and NLP, currently serving as Lead Applied Data Scientist at AstrumU® since April 2023, where leadership on AI/NLP projects is a key responsibility. In addition, Shakkari contributes as a Contributing Author at Carnegie Mellon University, creating course content on AI deployment and proposing industry projects for students. Previous positions include Senior Data Scientist at Cognistx, where Shakkari drove AI initiatives and led the development of an NLP product, and an NLP Research Engineer at Cognii. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
