Jennifer Thomas

National Vice President at Australian Services Union (ASU)

Jennifer Thomas has extensive experience in union and government roles. Jennifer started their career at The Services Union in 2008, where they served as Assistant Secretary. In 2018, they became the Executive President of the union. Jennifer also held positions at the Australian Services Union, Queensland Council of Unions, and Jobs Queensland. Jennifer currently serves as a Trustee Director at Brighter Super and Energy Super. Additionally, Jennifer has contributed to various committees and reference groups within the Queensland Government, including the Housing Round Table and the Social Service Industry Reference Group.

Jennifer Thomas attended Griffith University from 1996 to 1998, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Labor and Industrial Relations, and Human Resource Management.

Representing the interests of approximately 135,000 members across the country, the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union, trading as the Australian Services Union or, just simply, the ASU, is one of the largest trade unions in Australia.
