In 1997, they joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a Community Relations Manager. Andre then transitioned to the healthcare sector, working as the Director of Managed Care & Marketing at the Lawndale Christian Health Center from 1999 to 2003. In 2003, Andre joined ASW Global as the VP of Corporate Services. With their diverse background, Andre brings a wealth of experience and expertise to any organization.

Andre began their educational journey at Wheaton College in 1991, where they pursued studies for two years without earning a specific degree. In 1993, Andre enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they successfully completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, two years later in 1995.
Motivated by their thirst for knowledge, Andre Thornton Jr then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2000 to 2002, specializing in Health Policy & Administration within the field of Public Health. Following this, Andre desired to broaden their skills in business administration, and thus, they decided to embark on an MBA program. Andre enrolled at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University in 2007 and successfully completed their MBA in 2008.
Continuing their executive education, Andre attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for the Tuck Executive Education Series in 2009, further enhancing their business acumen.
