Mark Herndon, MD, FACS has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Mark currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor and General Surgeon, Chief of Surgery at Prisma Health since 2019. Mark previously worked as a General & Trauma Surgeon/Laparoscopy/Endoscopy at Albany Surgical Associates from 2013 to 2015. Mark began their career as a Surgeon at St. Francis Hospital in 2010.
Mark Herndon, MD, FACS has an extensive education history. Mark attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine from 2001 to 2005, where they achieved their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Liberty University, attending from 1994 to 1998. Mark Herndon also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of South Carolina, which they earned between 1987 and 1991. Before attending university, they studied Film/Cinema/Video Studies at Eastside and Fine Arts Center from 1985 to 1987.
