Laurie Menoud comes to At One Ventures by way of BASF Venture Capital where she led equity investments in early-stage companies and funds in North America. She focused on frontier technologies transforming the Chemical industry, such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and robotics. Prior to BASF, Laurie built her operating experience at SRI International, where she commercialized next-generation technologies out of government-funded programs (e.g. ARPA-E, DARPA, NSF). Laurie's startup experience includes co-creating a dozen ventures related to computer vision, natural language processing, diagnostics, and robotics while at SRI. She also supported R&D strategy and startup acquisitions at Solvay and led microbiology research in a UK-based startup. Laurie holds a Master's degree in biotechnology and helped characterize the first "giant" virus which later shed new light on the origins of life. Driven by the desire to apply biotechnology toward environmental health, she joined Bluewater Bio in the UK, where she optimized wastewater treatment processes. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, bringing her experience working with startups and corporate innovation groups to successfully commercialize new technologies. Originally from France, she loves traveling, tasting new food and board sports from snow to surf.
