Nathan Diaz

Nathan Diaz is an experienced engineer currently employed at ATA Engineering since January 2024. Previously, Nathan served as the Hero Mechanical Lead for the UT Austin RoboMaster team from August 2022 to December 2023, where responsibilities included designing and building a competition robot. As FINS Test Lead at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab from February 2021 to December 2023, Nathan was involved in testing and executing systems for actuated fins. Nathan also gained valuable experience as an engineering intern at ATA Engineering, focusing on structural analysis of spacecraft components, and as a subsea tree engineering intern at Dril-Quip, where design and testing for high-pressure components were key tasks. Nathan's career began with a position as a ride operator at Six Flags in 2021. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in December 2023.
