Jose Brey has over 20 years of professional experience in product management and software development. In 2021, they began working as a Product Manager at Atani. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Product Manager at Nucoro, a cloud native savings and investment platform, where they led the development of one tool, the back-office, and one product, the financial planner. From 2018 to 2019, they were an Educational Collaborator at UNED. From 2016 to 2018, they were the Co-founder and Head of Product at Arivanza, where they researched the EdTech market and the competition to position the product, outline its branding and define the initial pricing strategy. From 2009 to 2016, they were the Co-founder and Managing Director at LinkedTeams \u2022 Bespoke software solutions, where they led the creation of the sales and business analysis functions and performed market research to identify trends and to open new lines of business. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Systems Designer at Network Rail, where they were responsible for the review of functional specifications before project initiation, ensuring that both functional and non-functional requirements can be achieved and deadlines met. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Systems Designer at BUPA, where they were responsible for the review of functional specifications before project initiation, ensuring that both functional and non-functional requirements can be achieved and deadlines met. From 2003 to 2005, they were a Senior Frontend Developer at BuildOnline, where they designed and built high quality software taking into account extensibility, throughput and scalability among others. From 2000 to 2003, they were a Frontend Developer at ERESMAS INTERACTIVA SL, where they led a team of 5+ developers working exclusively on projects for the e-commerce department and reviewed use cases and design of functional and non-functional requirements with the business sponsors.

Jose Brey obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca between 1992 and 1998. In 2019, they obtained a certification from ConsenSys in the Ethereum Developer Program and from MIT Sloan Executive Education in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application.
