Melissa Buskes

Melissa Buskes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Melissa started their current role as a Scientist I, Medicinal Chemistry at Atavistik Bio in October 2022. Prior to this, Melissa worked as a Patent Technical Advisor at Cooley LLP from January 2021 to October 2022. Melissa also gained experience as a Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry at Sage Therapeutics in 2020 for a period of six months.

Melissa's career in research began at Northeastern University, where they served as an Associate Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Laboratory for Neglected Disease Drug Discovery from November 2018 to December 2019 and from January 2017 to October 2018, respectively. Before entering the research field, Melissa worked as a Customer Service Representative at Westpac from March 2009 to January 2017.

In terms of education, Melissa pursued a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry at La Trobe University from 2011 to 2015.

Melissa Buskes completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Hons.) degree from La Trobe University between 2006 and 2009. Melissa then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicinal Chemistry at the same university from 2011 to 2015.
