Brian Spilchen

Brian Spilchen is currently the Director of Corporate Risk Advisory and Management at ATB Financial, a position held since July 2019, and also serves as the Director of the Energy Group. Previously, Brian held the role of Principal at ShadowBay Ventures Corporation from February 2006 to August 2022 and served as CFO at both Titan West Resources Inc. and Primary Petroleum from 2010 to 2014 and May 2011 to November 2013, respectively. Additional experience includes working as Senior Manager at Canadian Western Bank for a brief period in late 2010, and as CFO at Nexstar Energy Ltd. from 2006 to 2010. Brian’s early career included a decade at National Bank of Canada as Manager of the Energy Group and various banking roles at ATB Financial from 1984 to 1996. Academically, Brian is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a BA in Economics, has a Business Administration degree in Accounting from NAIT, and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
