Jörg Schemminger

Jörg Schemminger is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in modeling, simulation, and process engineering. Currently serving as a Doctoral Candidate at Empa since September 2020, Jörg is also a Guest Researcher focused on Digital Twin technology. Additionally, Jörg has been contributing to the Leibniz-Institut für Agrartechnik und Bioökonomie e.V. as a Gastwissenschaftler since May 2021. Previous roles include Process Engineer at HPE-Konstanz, where responsibilities encompassed hygienic plant design, scale-up of extrusion processes, and automation tools for the quotation process. Earlier, Jörg worked as a Scientific Assistant at HTWG University, developing simulation models for food drying processes, and held various engineering positions at Baxter International Inc. Jörg holds a Doctoral Candidate degree in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Master of Engineering in Process Engineering from HTWG Hochschule Konstanz, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Hochschule Mannheim.
