Nakia Melecio

Nakia Melecio is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research, entrepreneurship, and innovation within the educational and scientific sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Research Faculty member at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Enterprise Innovation Institute, Nakia also holds multiple leadership roles including Founder and Director of The MedTech Center of Excellence and Founder and Deep Tech Coach at ScaleUp Lab. Additionally, Nakia contributes as a Principal at VentureLab, an Adjunct Faculty member at Morehouse School of Medicine, and a strategic advisor for Georgia Bio. Other positions include serving as a reviewer and instructor in various programs at the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Nakia's educational background includes a Doctor of Psychology in Educational Psychology from The University of Arizona Global Campus, along with multiple degrees in education and psychology from Ashford University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
