John Vavricka

John has 30 years of global pharmaceutical and biotech experience with a proven track record of building and leading high performing teams including marketing, sales, research and development, manufacturing, quality, compliance and business development. John has successfully launched and commercialized multiple biologic and small molecule products in the U.S. and global markets.

Before joining Atea, John was the founding CEO and President of Iroko Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a global specialty pharma company that developed and commercialized products in the U.S. and in over 50 countries. Prior to Iroko, John served as Vice President of U.S. & European Commercial Operations for Novartis / Chiron Vaccines and previously held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at GlaxoSmithKline including Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Global Product Strategy for R&D and Regional Vice President Sales.

John holds a BA in Neurobiology/Physiology from Northwestern University.
