Sydney Burke

Sydney Burke, MS, CQA, is a highly experienced professional in quality assurance within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Associate Director of R&D Quality Assurance at Atea Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since May 2022, Sydney has progressed through various roles including Sr. Manager and Manager of R&D Quality Assurance. Previously, Sydney held the position of Manager of Research Quality Assurance at Akebia Therapeutics, where responsibilities included providing strategic guidance on GCP/GLP/GVP quality matters and conducting audits. Prior experience also includes roles at Sarepta Therapeutics as a Research Associate, focusing on clinical trial support for DMD and LGMD studies, and as a Laboratory Operations Specialist at BERG LLC. Sydney holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bridgewater State University.
