Sam McGuffie, OLY has a diverse work experience history. Sam began their career as a Wide Receiver for the Oakland Raiders in 2014 and later played as a Wide Receiver for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club in 2014. In 2015, they played as a Running Back for the New England Patriots and then joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as a Running Back/Kick Returner later that year. Sam also served as a Push Athlete for the USA Bobsled & Skeleton team in 2015 and as a Professional Athlete for PRO Rugby in 2016. McGuffie then became a BMW Sponsored Athlete for BMW of North America, LLC in 2018. In the same year, they co-founded Pro Notary and also worked as a Senior Sales Representative for Alphatec Spine. Most recently, they became the Vice President of the United States Olympians & Paralympians Association | Houston Chapter in 2022.
Sam McGuffie, OLY, has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Rice University, which they obtained in 2014. In 2009, they briefly attended the University of Michigan to study Biology, General. Later, in 2018, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition to their academic qualifications, Sam has obtained various certifications in healthcare compliance and credentialing, including Bloodborne Pathogens Training, FDA Registration, Fire, Electrical and General Safety Protocol, General Expectations & Hospital Safety, HIPPA Training, Infection Control Practices, OR Protocol Training, Radiation Exposure Training, and Spinal Anatomy and Pathologies. Sam also holds the designation of OLY from the World Olympians Association, which they received in April 2018.
