Andrew Knight

Andrew (Drew) Knight is a Fire Research Engineer at the ATF since November 2024, with a comprehensive background in fire protection and emergency services. Experience includes roles as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT at Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department and as a Firefighter/EMT at Morningside Volunteer Fire Department since May 2021. Previously, Drew worked as a Laboratory Engineer at Beshenich Muir & Associates and Jensen Hughes from 2022 to 2024, specializing in ATF Fire Research Laboratory projects. Notable achievements include being recognized as the Top Call Runner for three consecutive years at Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad and receiving the Chief's Award in 2019. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from George Fox University.
