Matt Ball

Publishing Director, Antiques Trade Gazette at ATG (Auction Technology Group)

Matt Ball has a diverse work experience spanning over a span of two decades. Matt started their career at Corporate Finance magazine as a Staff Writer and eventually worked their way up to become the Editor. Matt then joined Euromoney Institutional Investor, where they held various roles such as Assistant Editor, Editor, and Publisher for different magazines. After that, they joined Microsoft and served as a Content Manager for MSN UK, where they were responsible for editorial work on MSN Money and MSN Cars. Matt later became the Editor-in-Chief, leading a team of 40 editors and producers. Matt also took on the role of Global Publishing Lead, where they oversaw projects across multiple MSN countries. Their achievements include delivering major events coverage and leading the editorial input for the new version of the MSN Sport channel. Currently, they are the Publishing Director at ATG (Auction Technology Group), where they lead a team working on Antiques Trade Gazette and its digital offerings, as well as printed catalogues and app business for auctioneers.

Matt Ball attended the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe from 1983 to 1989. Matt then went on to study at the University of Cambridge from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Modern Languages.
