Bart Huisken has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bart is currently the co-founder and strategic advisor at BrainFocus, where they focus on improving the lives of pharmacoresistant epileptic patients through better resection planning tools. Bart has also worked as a managing partner at HCP Global - Totum, where they provided consulting services to biotech, medical device, SaaS, AI, and IoT startups and large corporates. Additionally, Bart was an associate professor at EADA, teaching courses on strategy, leadership, and people. Bart co-founded Conscious Capitalism Spain, a foundation that supports forward-thinking leaders in humanizing business and focusing on the higher purpose and benefit of all stakeholders. Bart has also served as a strategic advisor for various companies including ABLE Human Motion, iBreve, AtG Therapeutics, and tensormedical, where they provided guidance on go-to-market strategies, financing, team scaling, and overall strategy. Furthermore, Bart has been a guest lecturer and research associate at INSEAD, and an expert evaluator and jury member for the European Innovation Council, specifically in the areas of Health and ICT. Bart Huisken has a diverse education history, starting in 1990 with a course on Image Recognition at Télecom Paris. In 1991, they completed a project on Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) at ISAE-SUPAERO. Additionally, Bart attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology for a summer course on Fiber Optics that same year. From 1987 to 1993, Bart studied at Delft University of Technology, earning their MSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a focus on Avionics. In 1992, they pursued their education further at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, specializing in Telecoms. Finally, Bart completed an MBA program at INSEAD in the year 2000, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior.
