Rachel Murphy

Rachel Murphy, P.Eng., currently serves as a Senior Process Engineer at Athabasca Oil Corporation, having held this position since December 2022. Previously, Rachel was a Process Modeler at Suncor, where contributions included leading a team to develop unit monitoring tools and improving model accuracy through regression techniques. Rachel's extensive experience spans multiple roles as a Process Engineer at Worley, Jacobs, and various other companies, engaging in key projects such as the Gibson Hardisty Diluent Recovery Unit and Chevron El Segundo Refinery Relief Projects. Rachel's work involved comprehensive design reviews, equipment sizing, and the execution of HAZOP studies. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical from Dalhousie University and began their career with co-op positions at Irving Oil and North Atlantic Refining Limited.
