Janet Tamada

Janet Tamada is the founder and president of Scientia Bioengineering Consulting, LLC, providing expertise in medical device development, drug delivery systems, and combination medical products since December 2012. Currently serving as a senior consultant for design and development of drug-device combination products at Atheln, Inc., Janet Tamada contributes to integrated pharma and biotech product strategies. Previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at ArKal Medical, where a continuous glucose monitoring device was developed, and Research Fellow/Director of Early Development at Johnson & Johnson, overseeing a cross-functional team for a transdermal drug delivery system. Janet Tamada's extensive experience spans various positions at Alexza Pharmaceuticals and Cygnus Inc., leading significant advancements in drug delivery technologies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
