Brooke Layne-Hookey

Brooke Layne-Hookey, SPHR, is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in the mental health sector. Currently serving as AVP of Human Resources at Athena Care, Brooke leads HR functions for a growing organization. Previously, Brooke held the position of Sr. Director of Human Resources, where strategic support and scalable HR systems were implemented. Prior roles include Director of Human Resources at Promises Behavioral Health and American Addiction Centers, focusing on employee relations, talent acquisition, and regulatory compliance. Starting a career at SMS Holdings, Brooke advanced through various HR roles, managing compliance and benefits programs. Brooke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.
