Victoria Howell

Victoria “Torry” Howell works as a Genomic Science Specialist for Quest Diagnostics. Specializing in hereditary oncology genetics, she offers her knowledge of and clinical experience with hereditary cancer syndromes to assist providers when ordering and interpreting oncology genetic testing. Her expertise also supports the Quest Diagnostics Exome and Pharmacogenomics testing offerings through client education, test verification, results review, and reporting.

Torry joined Quest in 2018 after working as an oncology genetic counselor at Scripps Hospital in San Diego.

In addition to her work at Quest Diagnostics Torry is currently the Chair of the Online Courses subcommittee of the National Society of Genetic Counselors’ Education Committee, collaborating on courses covering pharmacogenomics, whole exome sequencing, genetics specialty reviews, and direct to consumer genetic testing.

Torry earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston, TX. She is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling, licensed in the states of California and Massachusetts, and is an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
