Elena Syurina

Elena Syurina is a Knowledge Advisor at UWV since January 2024 and a Senior Researcher at Athena - Research and Education Institute since April 2016. Elena has a strong background in public health, health interventions, realist evaluation, action research, global health, and mental health. Elena has also held various positions in research, teaching, and supervision at prestigious institutions like Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Maastricht University, University of Oxford, and more. Elena holds degrees in Public Administration, Neuropsychology, and has pursued additional qualifications in teaching and machine learning. Elena's expertise lies in research and coordination in the fields of child and youth healthcare, mental health, pediatrics, and health policy.
