Rod Mims

Rod Mims currently serves as Executive Vice President of Retail Sales at Athene, a position held since July 2011, where strategic sales initiatives are developed in collaboration with organizational leaders to drive execution across various teams. Prior to Athene, Rod held two senior leadership roles at Genworth from August 2004 to July 2011, including Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager, overseeing 42 sales professionals, and Divisional Vice President of Sales, managing bank channel distribution. Rod began a career in sales at GE Capital from August 1995 to August 2004 as Regional Vice President/Wholesaler, achieving significant sales milestones and ranking as the top wholesaler for three consecutive years. Rod holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from East Carolina University, along with graduate credentials from the GE Management Development Institute-Crotonville and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
