Matt Zahner

Matt Zahner has extensive experience in both education and athletics. Currently serving as a Middle School Social Studies and Math Teacher at The Athenian School since 2002, Matt also holds the position of Head Soccer Coach for both boys and girls, where responsibilities include oversight of the Upper School Varsity team and program direction. Prior to this, Matt was the Head Varsity Soccer Coach and Program Director at Monte Vista High School from 2005 to 2014, managing all aspects of the men's soccer program. An accomplished trader, Matt has held various roles as an Options Trader with institutions such as D.A. Davidson & Co. and PEAK6 Investments, along with experience as a Market Maker at the Pacific Stock Exchange. Matt's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and a BA in History and Economics from Marquette University.
