James Pleasant has a strong background in information warfare policy and guidance. James currently serves as the Information Warfare Policy & Guidance Program Manager at Athenix Solutions Group, where they are responsible for developing, coordinating, and publishing information warfare policies and guidance. Prior to this role, they worked as the Information Warfare Policy and Training Program Manager at ICF, where they integrated policy and training for the IW division. James also gained valuable experience working for the United States Air Force, serving as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge for Intelligence Operations, Team Lead, and Intelligence Analyst. In these roles, they managed priorities, assessed vulnerabilities of adversary military targets, provided feedback, and led training development.

James Pleasant's education history starts in 2010 when they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. James pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and completed their studies in 2015.

In 2017, James attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained an Associate's degree in Intelligence Studies, which they completed in 2018.

James then decided to further their education by enrolling at Penn State University in 2020. James is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Studies degree in Homeland Security: Geospatial Intelligence, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

Additionally, James has obtained several certifications related to their field. In April 2020, they obtained certifications from FEMA for "An Introduction to the National Incident Management System," "Fundamentals of Emergency Management," "The Homeland Security Geospatial Concept-of-Operations (GeoCONOPS) In Depth," and "The Homeland Security Geospatial Concept-of-Operations (GeoCONOPS) In Use." In February 2020, they obtained another FEMA certification for "The Homeland Security Geospatial Concept-of-Operations (GeoCONOPS) for Planners and Decision Makers."
