Amy Garrison currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement at Athens State University, a position held since August 2021. Previously, Amy was the Training Program Manager at the National Children's Advocacy Center from May 2017 to August 2021, overseeing over 70 domestic and international training programs related to child abuse response. Amy's extensive experience in higher education includes roles as the Director of Student Life and Coordinator of Student Organizations at Georgetown University Law Center, where strategic leadership was provided for numerous student initiatives and a significant budget. Additional roles include Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Leadership and Volunteerism at the University of North Alabama and various positions at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Amy holds an EdD (ABD) in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University, an M.A. in Counseling from the University of North Alabama, and a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
