Darren Waldrep

Darren Waldrep, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Management of Cybersecurity Operations at Athens State University since January 2016. Prior to this role, Darren was an Information Assurance Manager at the United States Department of Defense from January 2010 to January 2016, overseeing Tactical Systems Accreditation and ensuring compliance with the DoD Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation (DIACAP) method. Earlier in Darren's career, a Systems Administrator position at Jacobs Technology lasted from February 2000 to January 2010, focusing on tasks involving Windows Servers, Linux, Cisco switches, and other administrative functions. Darren's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of the Cumberlands (2017-2020), a Master's Degree in CyberSecurity from Bellevue University (2013-2015), and a Bachelor's Degree in Management of Technology from Athens State University (2007-2008).
