Kem Roper, PhD, serves as the Writing Center Director at Athens State University since August 2022, following a similar role at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University from January 2019 to August 2022, where responsibilities included supporting student writing across various contexts, managing peer tutors, and developing writing workshops. Prior to those positions, Kem Roper held academic roles as an Assistant Professor at Oakwood University and a Lecturer at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
