Quanda Stevenson is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Athens State University. Quanda has previously worked as a Distance Learning Specialist at Auburn University and as a Web Manager at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Stevenson has helped to develop faculty members’ technological skills through workshops and one-on-one help. Quanda has also discussed with faculty members emerging pedagogical techniques to enhance their online courses. Additionally, Stevenson has helped create new courses and implement them into Auburn’s LMS (Blackboard Vista).
At the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Stevenson managed a team to continually redesign the UAH Web site to compete with other 4-year universities. Quanda also implemented new technologies so that the UAH Web site would better serve our market. Furthermore, Stevenson developed a standardization plan so that all of the UAH sites had characteristics enhancing our identity.
Quanda Stevenson earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Auburn University. Quanda also holds a Master of Management Information Systems (M.S.M.I.S.) from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) from the same school. Additionally, they are certified by the ACUE (Association of College and University Educators) in Microcredential in Inspiring Inquiry and Lifelong Learning in Your Online Course, and by the Online Learning Consortium in Instructional Design Mastery Series.
