Rohit Thomas

Rohit Thomas is a seasoned Power Electronics Architect at Ather Energy, contributing to the design and development of motor controllers for electric scooters, including the Ather 450X. With extensive experience at ELGI Equipments Limited, Rohit held various engineering roles, advancing from Senior Engineer to Senior Lead Engineer, specializing in variable frequency drives for compressors, optimizing motor control systems, and conducting comprehensive performance evaluations. Earlier positions include Project Engineer at C-DAC, focusing on low-voltage DC distribution systems, and R&D Engineer roles at Mitsubishi Electric India and Messung Group, where Rohit was involved in new product development for automation products. Rohit holds an M-Tech in Power Electronics and Drives Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology and a B-Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
