Rob Gow has a diverse work experience in various companies. Rob started as a Design Engineer at Dyson in 2003, where they were involved in the conceptual design and development of the DC25 vacuum cleaner. In 2006, they worked as a Design Engineer at 4ormfunction, leading the design of biohazard detection devices and in-car GPS systems. In 2009, they became a Senior Designer at Omlet Ltd, where they designed a modern bee hive that won several design awards. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of the West of England, teaching computer-aided design. Rob joined Zodiac Aerospace in 2011 as a Principal Design Engineer, where they invented and developed innovative seat and mechanism designs. In 2016, Rob became the Lead Designer at Robot Bike Co, contributing to the design of 3D-printed titanium and carbon composite bike frames. In 2018, they joined Atherton Bikes as the Head of Design and later became the Head of Product Design.

Rob Gow completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University. Rob attended the university from 1997 to 2001.
