Alexandra Licata

Alexandra Licata has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alexandra started their career in 2018 as a Marketing Assistant for the Staten Island Yankees. In the same year, they also worked as a Sports Intern at ABC News, where they logged games and helped select highlights for broadcast.

In 2019, Licata held multiple roles, including an Editorial Fellow in the Sports department at Business Insider and an Editorial Intern at CBS Sports. At CBS Sports, they compiled daily news notes, created broadcast talent packets, and worked in the control room during broadcasts. Alexandra also served as a Digital Editorial Producer for NBC Olympics, contributing to digital content production.

Licata gained further experience in writing and editing as the Sports Editor, Assistant Sports Editor, and Sports Staff Writer for The Hofstra Chronicle from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they were also a Writer, Secretary, and Marketing & Events Manager at Alexandra'sCampus Hofstra, where they organized events, managed a team, and corresponded with other clubs and university members.

In 2018, Licata joined 88.7FM WRHU as a Staff Member, where they engineered a music slot and provided sports updates for the weekday news show. Additionally, they ran their own personal blog on alexandralicata.wordpress.com from 2014 to 2020, serving as the Editor, Writer, and Owner.

Most recently, Licata worked at Athletes Unlimited, starting in 2020. Alexandra began as a Jr. Video Editor before becoming the Web Manager and then the Sr. Manager of Digital. In their current position as the Associate Director of Digital Experience, they manage all aspects of the Athletes Unlimited website, including content publication, feature building, and ensuring the website is up to date. Alexandra also collaborates with developers to introduce and design new features to the website.

Alexandra Licata pursued their higher education at Hofstra University from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
