Areonna Dowdy

Areonna Dowdy served as an Administrative Coordinator at College Mentoring Experience from November 2019 to July 2022, where responsibilities included identifying and awarding grants exceeding $25,000, managing quarterly reports, organizing in-house meetings, and facilitating mentor/mentee match ceremonies. Areonna gained additional experience as an intern for American Legacy at New York Magazine, focusing on video segments related to African American history, and worked as a Student Reporter for Urban Milwaukee and Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service. Further internships included a Summer Internship in Alderman Michael Scott's office and a Digital Media Internship with Marquette University Athletics, where digital storytelling and social media engagement were emphasized. Areonna also completed a Business Administrative Internship at Loretto Hospital. Educational qualifications include a degree from DePaul University, obtained between September 2021 and June 2023, and a prior degree from Marquette University, completed in 2019.
