Mike Barber

High Performance Coach at Athletics Australia

Mike Barber is currently working as a High Performance Coach at Athletics Australia since October 2015. Mike previously served as an Apprentice Coach for Field Events at the Australian Institute of Sport from January 2013 to August 2015. Mike holds a Master of Science in Biomechanics from the University of Regina and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Movement Studies from the University of Technology Sydney. Mike has coached Olympic and Paralympic athletes in throws, jumps, and combined events, including Kelsey-Lee Barber, the 2019/22 Javelin World Champion and 2020 Olympic Bronze medalist.
