Andrew Heffernan

Andrew Heffernan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate policy and research, education, and political operations. Currently serving as a Climate Associate at the uOttawa Professional Development Institute and a Professor at the University of Ottawa, Andrew has also held the position of Operations Manager for MP Greg Fergus with the Liberal Party of Canada since March 2020. With a strong background in research as demonstrated through roles at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and Nexus PFM Consulting, Andrew has focused on the intersection of climate change communication and policy-making. Additionally, Andrew contributes to athletics as a Guide Runner, having participated in several international Paralympic events. Academically, Andrew holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations, a Master's in Public and International Affairs with a focus on Environmental Sustainability, and an Honours Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa.
