Lead Of Paralympic High Performance at Athletics Canada

Carla Nicholls ChPC has an extensive background in athletics and healthcare, currently serving as the Lead of Paralympic High Performance and Olympic Development Lead at Athletics Canada since February 2009, where Carla created the successful Olympic Development Program. Additionally, Carla has experience as a National Team Coach for jumps and combined events, overseeing athletes at two Olympic Games and various international championships. In their role as a CAAWS Leadership Facilitator since September 2014, Carla empowers women to advance in leadership through various workshops. Prior to their current positions, Carla was the Head Coach for Track and Field/Cross Country at the University of Regina, where Carla developed the athletic program from inception, and worked as a registered nurse specializing in coronary care and operating room nursing for a decade, contributing to the development of a transplant program. Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan and is an IAAF Certified Elite Coach Level 5.
