Mathieu Gentès

Mathieu Gentès has an extensive work experience in the field of sports administration and marketing. Mathieu started their career as a Community Services Intern at Kroenke Sports Enterprises in 2001. Mathieu then worked as a Marketing & Communications professional at Softball Canada from 2002 to 2004, and later at the Canadian Colleges Athletics Association from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they joined Athletics Canada where they held various positions including Director of Public Relations & Corporate Services, Chief Operating Officer, and Interim Chief Executive Officer. In May 2022, they were appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Athletics Canada.

Mathieu Gentès attended Notre Dame des Grands Lacs from 1994 to 1997. Mathieu then moved on to Sir James Dunn for the academic year 1997-1998. After that, Mathieu attended Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from 1998 to 2002. Mathieu earned a degree in Sports Administration (SPAD) and studied various subjects such as Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Sports Administration, and Economics.
