Johnny Rivera has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 2007. Johnny began their career at Carrot as Lead Developer/Interactive Director. In 2009, they moved to United Health Group as Frontend Development Lead, where they led a team of frontend developers in creating a private health portal. In 2010, they became Full Stack Development Lead at Dow Jones. In 2011, they joined Barnes & Noble (NOOK) as JavaScript Consultant & Engineer and Lead Full Stack Developer. In 2013, they took on the role of Applications Architect at OHL. In 2014, they became Principal Software Engineer at Asurion, leading a team tasked with building their first "cloud first" distributed CRM. In 2016, they moved to LifeWay Christian Resources as Senior Software Engineer and Consultant. In 2018, they joined CBS Interactive as Senior Director, where they built a cross-functional team to work on redesign and architecture for SportsLine.com. In 2021, they assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer at Athliance.
