Senior UX Designer at Athlon

Akhil Komath began their career in 2016 as a Visual Design Intern at Pichkaari Design Studio, where they were exposed to different phases of design development including UI/UX, interaction design, and visual design. Akhil was responsible for designing communication designs, visual language, and design for brands as well as conceptualizing and ideating for print related projects. In 2017, they joined Accenture as a UX/UI Designer and then as a UX/UI Senior Designer. That same year, they also worked as a UX/UI Design Intern at NASSCOM Design 4 India, where they devised and developed their communication strategy, visual language, and conceptualized/ratiocinated Design4India workshops and summits. In 2020, Akhil joined Accenture Song as a UX/UI Design Specialist (Design Lead). In this role, they were responsible for implementation of a unified process for resource onboarding, solution creation and design maintenance within the team. Akhil was also responsible for crucial design decisions on digital products, maintaining a cohesive experience across all channels and discovering innovative solutions that support consistent experience and drive business KPIs. Finally, in 2022, Akhil joined Athlon as a Senior UX Designer.

Akhil Komath received their Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology between 2009 and 2014. Akhil then went on to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Graphic Design at the MIT Institute of Design from 2015 to 2017. In addition, Akhil has obtained a number of certifications from various institutions, including the User Experience: The Beginner's Guide from The Interaction Design Foundation in March 2022, ADAA 2017 Semifinalist, System Design from AdobeEDU in 2018, ADAA 2018 Semifinalist, Commercial App Design from AdobeEDU in 2018, ADAA 2018 Semifinalist, Commercial Web Design from AdobeEDU in 2018, User Experience Certification from Udemy in November 2017, ADAA 2017 Semifinalist, Social Impact from AdobeEDU in 2017, ADAA 2017, Motion Graphics from AdobeEDU in 2017, and a Diploma in Product Design from CADD Centre Training Services Private Limited in January 2015.
