Serge Lignot

Serge Lignot has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Serge is currently serving as the Group Senior Director of Investment Structuring & Execution at Athora since October 2020. Prior to this, in 2016, they founded Cycles Héritage. Serge also worked as a Consultant at Athora Belgium from August 2019 to September 2020, taking on roles such as ALM, Treasury and Investment Specialist, and Chief Investment Officer a.i. (consultant). From 2017 to 2020, they worked as the Principal Managing Consultant for Banking & Insurance at Kategory. Serge also has prior experience in compliance implementation management as a consultant at Degroof Petercam from August 2019 to March 2020. Before that, they held the position of Director of Market and Credit Risk - Portfolio Optimization at Coutts International from May 2014 to November 2016. Serge Lignot has also held significant leadership positions earlier in their career, such as being the Managing Director/Head of Structured Products at Prometeo Investment Services SA from September 2009 to April 2014, and the Director of Structuring and Advisory at Landsbanki from October 2007 to September 2009. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Structured Products Specialist at BCV from August 2005 to September 2007, and as the Head of Structured Products at Fortis Bank from August 2003 to August 2005.

Serge Lignot holds a degree in Commercial Engineering, specializing in the field of study of Handelsingenieur, which they obtained from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. Serge completed their studies in this program from 1989 to 1995.

Later, in 1996 and 1997, Lignot pursued further education and obtained an MBA from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, focusing on Marketing and Finance.

In 2001 and 2002, they attended the Ichec Brussels Management School and earned a Master's degree in Financial Risk Management.
