DIMITRIOS ILIOPOULOS has extensive experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on finance and strategy. DIMITRIOS has worked as a Biotech Finance & Strategy Consultant, developing and utilizing financial models for drugs in various stages of development. DIMITRIOS has also provided strategic planning for investors to identify promising drugs. Prior to this, they held academic positions at UCLA Health System, where they were an Associate Professor of Medicine, and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, where they served as an Assistant Professor. DIMITRIOS also founded and served as the Executive Director of the Center for Systems Biomedicine at UCLA, which aimed to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutics for inflammatory diseases. In addition, they have held roles as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Harvard University and has co-founded several companies, including Athos Therapeutics Inc, Dyania Health, and Attica Sciences Ltd. DIMITRIOS currently holds the positions of Co-founder, President & CEO at Athos Therapeutics Inc and Co-founder, Board Member at Dyania Health. DIMITRIOS is also a Councilor at ARISTEiA.
Dimitrios Iliopoulos began their education in 2007 at Harvard Medical School, where they pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in the field of "Transcriptional Networks in Human Diseases." After completing their fellowship in 2010, they went on to further their education at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in "Biotechnology Finance & Investing." During their time at UCLA, they also earned a Certificate in "Financial Modeling" in 2015. In 2014, Dimitrios participated in an Exchange Program at CUHK Business School. In 2016, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business, acquiring a certificate in the "Mergers & Acquisitions Program." Lastly, in 2018, Dimitrios earned a certificate in "Artificial Intelligence" from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
