Michael Hoover

Vice President Supply Chain at ATI

Michael Hoover has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries. Michael started their career in 1999 as a Military Police in the U.S. Marine Corps, where they served until 2006.

In 2002, they worked as a Project Leader at PKMJ Technical Services for a year.

Michael then joined ATI - Allegheny Technologies Incorporated in 2007 and held various roles within the supply chain department. Michael started as an Inside Sales Rep./Account Manager, managing the inventory and needs of strategic accounts. Michael later became a Senior Supply Chain Analyst, where they orchestrated daily planning operations and prepared complex reports for key decision-makers. Michael then served as a Sales & Marketing Manager, responsible for engaging customers and securing new business.

Michael's career advanced within ATI, where they became a Manager of Supply Chain Planning, responsible for developing operational productivity models and creating sustainable scheduling models for frontline supervisors. Michael then became a Senior Manager of Supply Chain & Project Management, leading planning, scheduling, system integration teams, and overseeing downstream and external customers. Michael served as the Director of Supply Chain, responsible for the overall supply chain management, before their recent role as the Senior Director of Supply Chain & GM of Business Development. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Supply Chain at ATI.

Overall, Michael has demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, including inventory management, cost reduction, process streamlining, and customer delivery improvements.

Michael Hoover has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Supply Chain Management from Duquesne University. Michael also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University. Additionally, they have a certification in the Karrass Effective Negotiating Course from Penn State Access Certification.
