Kathryn Meola

Kathryn Meola is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Partner at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo since June 2020. Previously, Kathryn held the position of General Counsel and Director of Education Legal Alliance at the California School Boards Association from January 2019 to June 2020. Kathryn's experience spans over two decades at the San Mateo County Counsel's Office, where roles included Chief Deputy County Counsel, Lead Deputy County Counsel, and Deputy County Counsel, focusing on education and special education law. Kathryn's legal career began at the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, where significant litigation experience was gained, including prosecuting high-profile homicide cases. Kathryn earned a Juris Doctor in Criminal Law from the University of San Diego School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish from The College of New Jersey.
