Carlo Bertoncini

Carlo Bertoncini serves as the Head of Engineering Delivery for Major Projects in the EMEA region at AtkinsRéalis, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Carlo held the position of Head of Engineering at ESD Joint Venture from September 2021 to January 2024, overseeing the management and delivery of Scottish Water’s Q&SIV Non-Infrastructure Programme. Carlo's background includes significant roles in engineering management at William Grant & Sons, Magnox Ltd, and Glacier Vandervell Europe, contributing expertise in nuclear decommissioning, site infrastructure, and project engineering. Carlo holds an MSc in Nuclear Decommissioning and Environmental Clean-up from Lancaster University, a Diploma in Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, and a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Electronic Systems Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University. Carlo is also a Chartered Engineer (FIMechE) with extensive experience in delivering complex engineering projects.
