Dr Caroline Paradise has extensive work experience in research and innovation in the field of design. Dr Caroline began their career as a Research Assistant at the Design Research Unit, Welsh School of Architecture from September 2005 to January 2009. Dr Caroline then joined IBI Nightingale as the Head of Research and Development from January 2009 to June 2014. During their time at IBI Nightingale, they project managed an Education research project in collaboration with Salford University and coordinated the development of innovative healthcare product BedPod in collaboration with Billings Jackson Design and manufacturer SAS International. Dr Paradise has been working at Atkins since July 2014, initially as the Head of Design Research and currently as the Technical Director of Research & Innovation at AtkinsRéalis since July 2019.
Dr Caroline Paradise completed their education at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University. In 2003, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Architecture. Dr Caroline then went on to earn a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from the same institution in 2005. Dr Paradise later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, specializing in the impact of non-visual processes on daylight and glazing specification. Dr Caroline completed their Ph.D. in 2015.
